Question about character pre-sets

I tried making a character last night and by that I mean, loaded, added the materials, hair, clothing ect...that I wanted but it doesn't seem to save those things. What is the purpose of a character preset and how is it typically used? I was hoping that a character I use frequently could just be saved and loaded with a few clicks. Thanks for any help :)

Character preset will save the morphs and materials applied to a figure.

If you want to save the character with clothes and hair too so that you can reuse it in another scene then you should save it as a scene subset.
