Two questions

in New Users
First question: Daz studio asks for personalization of its installation. Is this really needed by Studio to work, as I use my own watermark imbedding service for all my work? Using two seems like over kill.
Second question: what is the file structure/echelon for Daz user content? Im sure this all has being asked before, so if anyone can point me to the right place. It would be highly appreciated/please and thank you.

The name fields aren't fro renders, theya re used for the scene and preset files - if you don't enter at least a name every File>Save will be treated as File>Save as (to protect you from overwriting content files DS will do a plain save only if the current user name matches the username of the scene file). You don't, of course, have to use your real name and the other fields are entirely optional.
I'm not sure what you mean here. Directory structure? File format?
Hi Richard,
I have being a Poser (10yers) user for a very long time and have never used/looked at DS. With regards to file structure. Im talking about the runtime. Where is everything put, (the (correct) places and in what file) the names of files, extensions and so on. I have no idea as the extensions are not the same in Poser. Is there a list someplace? Or do I have to work it all out all myself? Im sure the install manager handles it all. But I would like the knowledge for myself and expertise that goes with knowing. Just because
Also I think im doing things wrong on my content installs because I keep getting these framed (!) exclamation points and no images.
I'm sure im not doing something right. Because I just installed V4 and the model will not load into DS. It says file does not exist. Im going to uninstall it and do a re-install to see what happens.
Ok guys, I found what I was looking for (the online manual), I just needed to do the first question I asked, lol. Alright, now im headed in the right direction.
Thanks!
