How often does Daz give birth to a new Generation?

I'm just curious if there is an average time between generations. When I first started in Daz last Oct, 6series was the standard I think and then a few months later the 7series came out. I hadn't bought tons of characters or materials so I just started gradually melding into the newer products and they look great.  But I was just wondering how fast the technology moves. I'm guessing it will be a little while before we see V8/M8 models and that's fine of course. Just a general question.

    Except for the 4th generation (M4/V4) it works out to be about every 2 yrs.  The 4th generation was out for a lot longer than that.

    That said, the female base usually comes out first and then is followed by the male 4 to 6 months later.
