Reset Mac 4.9 UI back to defaults

Trying to learn, and the UI got messed up.  Using preferences->Interface->reset to factory defaults does nothing.   And several times when quitting Daz, screen disappears, but the program is still running, and I have to force quit the program after a couple minutes.  And that's just loading it up, and then quitting.

So - how to get the UI back to factory defaults?

Sorry, can't answer but I'm on a Mac too and I have to force quit all the time too because DS just hangs with the spinning ball every time I quit the program. Maybe this is a common Mac issue???

Click Window > Workspace > Select Layout..., click Accept. Click Window > Style > Customize Style..., click Defaults, click Accept.
