Walk/Run cycles

I mainly come from a Poser background where most processes are automated, i.e. it has a walk designer and talk designer built into the software.

I'm trying out Daz Studio 4.9 and I notice that it uses aniblocks, however they only seem applicable to Genesis models, not so much V7 or M7. Are there any good tutorials on how to make V7 and M7 walk and run?

Most of the existing animations/walk cycles ARE for the older figures and are not really usable on Genesis 3 based figures without editing, due to the change in the skeleton.

The cost of "free" software is that many of the intermediate or advanced features found in Poser require an add-in or separate product in D|S. Assuming it is G3F you want to animate, there are products like these:

There's also this if you want to try importing a BVH for an older model:

  • Is this because the Genesis 3 / V7 / M7 models are very new still? Is there any chance more animations will be created in the future?

Thanks Tobor, I was thinking more about V7/M7 models. There is a script that converts Genesis 2 into Genesis 3 but that's as high as it goes as far as I know.
