Did i make big mistake accidentally Buying Dynamic clothes Or can i convert to Conforming?

I bought Karate suit 2 from renderosity. I was stupid not to read that it was dynamic. I have no interest in dynamic clothes as i'm using 3d models for games (for my self not for sale) and things like that.  Anyways, it's been talked about for ages, is there still no converter to convert Dynamic clothes to conforming?. If not, i don't care that much as i also bought the karate suit from daz3d. :) wink

You would need to rig them.  Were you going to use them on M4 or another figure?

On M4. well  I'm switching to Genesis Male 2 so it would be on a G2M with the shape of M4 because i got the package that gives G2M the M4 shape.  But i guess it was a waste cause i don't know how to rig. But maybe i'll use it as decoration in my dojo scene. just a suit there hanged up.

I don't see why you couldn't just do edit->figure->rigging->convert figure to prop

then do a rigging transfer from G2M to the now karate suit prop

    That should make it conforming.

Oh wow. i didn't even know that trick. You must know I'm not that smart. remember that

I don't understand this part. What do you mean do a rigging transfer. What menu is that at?

Note that only the DAZ store has dynamic clothes for use in DAZ|Studio. Anything "dynamic" from anywhere else is just a static prop set up to be used in the Cloth Room of Poser. They can be rigged as normal conforming clothes, but it's a bit of a daunting task for a beginner.

One other gotcha; not all Poser-style dynamics take kindly to rigging in DAZ|Studio, sometimes they'll fall apart or distort when you try posing them.

    I think I forgot a step in there :(

After the karate suit is converted to a prop, you need to re-convert it back into a triax weighted figure

select the suit and go to edit->object->rigging->convert prop to figure

Make sure triax weght map is selected and click ok

Once that is done, load up your G2M figure and go to edit->figure->transfer utility (top of the list)

on the left side drop down for the donor figure select your G2 character and on the right side for target figure, select the karate suit.

This will transfer the weight maps and rigging from the G2 character over to the suit to make it a conforming clothing item :)

Kaotkbliss. Thanks aot sorry got back to you late i just started working on this again after being busy.  So i do all this

    I think I forgot a step in there :(

After the karate suit is converted to a prop, you need to re-convert it back into a triax weighted figure

select the suit and go to edit->object->rigging->convert prop to figure

on the left side drop down for the donor figure select your G2 character and on the right side for target figure, select the karate suit.

and then what happens is There is no Michael 4( the clothes are for M4) in the ldrop list on the left. So i can't choose him. In both left and right drop list there's only "NONE" and "the Karate suit item"(the karate suit comes separated into pants, etc. ).

So how can i choose M4 if he's not in the list? DO i have to do something to him too?

Michael 4 is not a weightmapped figure, so you can't rig items for him with the transfer utility, you have to use the figure setup tools.

Update. I did all the steps you said . Then i did this although probably i just made it up without knowing if it's good to do

    1. Select michael4.   Edit/Figure/Rigging/Convert Fig To Weight mapp. Select Triax Weightmap

    2. Now selected M4 again and Edit/Figure Transfer Utility.

3 . Now unlike before M4 does appear in the list of items to select so i selected M4 on the right  and the pants on the Left.

and boom. now the pants seem conforming. they move along with M4 movment.

    EXCEPT!!!!!!

They don't fit exactly well. ANd thirdly, there is no FIT TO thing on the right side like there is for other conforming clothes. ANd plus let's say it did work, how would i save my item to the libraries to use later?  Here's a picture.

The page for those   figure setup tools says It's for DAZ 3 and that people with DAZ 4 should look at

    http://www.daz3d.com/content-creator-toolkit-cct

instead and that page says if you got 4.x PRO Edition(which i do)you already have content createor toolkit included
