How to change the color of the view port?

I accidentally hit something a couple of weeks ago that turned my workspace inside the view port to white (which I loved!).  I saved a scene after updating DIM and now its back to the dark grey.  How do  change it back to the white?  Everyting else, all of my tabs and the rest of the work space is fine. (not saying it was the DIM update just mentioning it because it happened one right after the other.

WIndow > Style > Customize Colors, last item is Viewport Color.

Then go to Edit > Preferences > Scene and tick the box under Backdrop Color to Ignore wht was saved in the scene file.
