Smart Content Pane is Empty

For about a week now, the pane that shows the smart content is empty. No content is showing up in it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling DazStudio and the GenesisStarterEssentials file, but this has made no difference. I am not getting any error messages. The content appears to be still installed, but not appearing in the smart content.

Can anyone advise what has happened and what I need to do to fix it?

It sounds as if the Content Management Service isn't running - I think on a Mac you can check that from a tab of the system properties page.

Stupid question of the day. Where do i find that?

I have a System Preferences (no tabs) in the actual OS itself, and cannot find a System Properties within DazStudio.

What am I looking for, and where do I need to go to find it?

All the symptoms appears to fit... however I would love to know what the "special procedure" is that resolves this issue. Nothing on What This Is is shown here. I cannot find anything on How to Uninstall and Remove DazStudio 4 and CMS for Mac. (There is one for PC, but not Mac).
