Anime character ?

Hi

I'm a new member with some question. I using Wings3d. I have some models that i need to transfer it to anime models // color, smooth hair and other stuff //. What do i do with DAZ to give me that result ? I check DAZ store and find many kind of anime characters there but my kind is just simple more simple // 3d character, eyes 2d, mouth, nose, hands and legs are simple without much details //. My focus is more on shadow and color or the character. So is there any topic or tutorial discusse this ? Is there tools DAZ provide it can help me ?

There are one or maybe DAZ 3D created tutorials on riggin I know on YouTube. Maybe others have made some as well on YouTube.

You should also look at the Anime characters you can create with MakeHuman.

I'm using Makehuman but what i'm asking for is anime character. Anime character with simple things i mentioned upper. What DAZ3d can do with anime? I saw on youtube some cartoon tutorials and nothing about anime style !

Anime is just a style model. If it is rigged in a standard way then DAZ can do animations. Look for member named 'Ivy' in these forums she does much animation in DAZ and her threads give hints what to use and how to approach it. Also mjCasual has written DAZ scripts to help the animation process. His freebies are linked t in the Freebies section of the forums.

Here is a link to creating Anime models in MakeHumand and Blender if you aren't using this already:

Do you want to render images that look like a comic/manga style? Or do you need a figure like in a 3D animation, that looks cartoonish with little skin details?

I'm asking because depending on this, there are two different ways to do things.

    Example:

    1. Render will look like anime/manga/cartoon: http://www.daz3d.com/manga-style-shaders
    2. Character will look cartoonish: http://www.daz3d.com/dg-toon-style-eyes-for-genesis-2-male-s

The second option is what i'm asking for. Here is image can help to understand how my model should be look like. Can DAZ do this ?

Look at the skin. how it look ? so soft. no much details in the face, just simple.

If you are looking for pre-made character, this here might be what you are lookong for: http://www.daz3d.com/hitomi-3d-anime-girl-for-genesis or http://www.daz3d.com/asobi

If you render in 3Delight, I can recommend AOA shaders to you: http://www.daz3d.com/subsurface-toon-shaders

This is an example of the shader used on Genesis 2 F default character. It's wirking better with Genesis 1 characters, though.

If you want the lines, you will need something like http://www.daz3d.com/camera-magic-toonycam-pro

What i see in you link and the other member post is really something more than beautiful. It's characters with beauty and more special things. You can say Perfect character BUT not even close to the image i post it there is no black lines. Its close to CG character.

    Thank you.

This "camera magic toonycam pro" is really close to what i talk about. Its add-ons ? do i need to buy this add-ons or DAZ 3d can do it free withou it ? Its littel bet confuse to me, maybe because i'm new. So, just to make things more clear. I have the model, I made it with wings3d or makehuman. If export it to DAZ 3d, Can make toon or anime shader like the one i post it before. with black lines FREE ?

The Toony cam is not free, it is an add-on you will have to buy. All the items I mentioned are pay-for items. I don't know if there are any Freebies which do the same thing.

The only option to render a cartoon style for free in DS is if you go to the Render Settings. There, you have to select "Intermediate

GDL", and under Styles, select "Cartoon". The result is a bit more rough than what you are aiming for. You can try playing around with it to see if it gives you the result you want.

Here's a Testrender with the setting, and where you can find the setting in the Render tab:

Unity3D does those type of renders free but you have then learn how to set up an animation in Unity3D similar to writing a game. You will need to use there toon shaders or several free toon shaders in the Unity asset Store.
