Can I export Daz3d models into Unity with PBR maps? (normal, ao, etc...)

edited April 2016 in New Users

I did some research and I already know that Daz models should be decimated cause are highpoly and not suitable without decimation. I also know that I should aquire a license to be able to use them in a game. I already have the decimator and in the near future will get the license. I did some tests but found out that only diffuse, bump and specular maps are exported with the models. Is there a way to export normal, ambien occlussion and the rest of PBR maps?

You'll have to recreate a fascimile in Unity and a product of your choice - e.g. the Substance Live Suite.

Although like you, I hope that the HW & SW & models comes far enough one day to avoid all this extra processing.

Also, you might write a support request for a new feature to support PBR in their FBX exports to Unity, UE4, and so on, although you'd think as much as that market's grown they are already working on that.
