Terrain shaders and also Daz's search function

You may wonder how I'm combining these two subjects? Well, I'm trying to get more info on the terrain shader. Carrara's manual is not very helpful on every terrain layer's parameter.

Now, unless I'm missing it, I typed in "Carrara terrain" in the Search field top right - it throws a gazillion of irrelevant threads at me. SO I assume that the search function queries every forum on Daz? If os, why can't there be one specifically for each forum. 

Is there a good tutorial somewhere on terrain shaders? I find one of Cripeman on Youtube, but it was a bit short.

    Yup - I did. The best I could come up with was a short one by Cripeman.

    LOL, bummer...I bought Carrara recently and apparently not well documented.

    Carrara's manual is not very helpful on every terrain layer's parameter.

     Do you want a full explanation of what shader elements like Elevation,.or Slope,. do ? .....i'm, confused.

    the terrain shaders are pretty much self explanatory, (Land, Rock, Grass, Snow)  by their name you can determine what the function of that shader is ?

    As far as the search function in the Store or Forum here,. it's never been reliable or useful in any way ,. even for locating main daz3d products.

    this may be a question which is better directed to the Carrara forums,.

    Carrara's documentation may be in need of an update,. but don't let that discourage you,. carrara is a great program with a huge set of features, and the documentation actually covers the majority of what carrara does.

    Thanks...I am learning DAZ Studio with Genesis 2 character so I'll see how well that learning translates into Cararra environment.
