Long Spot Render/Short Render?

I just got a new computer and have been really been enjoying working in Daz again! My question is this, why is it that when I do a spot render it takes FOREVER to finish but I can render a whole picture in under 5 minutes? I really don't want to develop a whole picture just to find out the eyes aren't right. Can anyone tell me what might be happening and how I can fix it?

    I spot render all the time and don't have the problem you describe.... well not exactly.

    A thing I noticed, and has been mentioned by others here, is that DS will render much faster after a computer restart. A scene that took over an hour last night was done in 16 minutes this morning after I restarted my PC.

    So it could be that the slow spot render time is a result of having DS open for too long... it's tired and sleepy and needs a rest and restart. I pretty much restart my PC before I render any demanding scenes.
