Add Material Zones in other software (such as Blender)

I know I can create morphs in Blender (etc),

I want to add material zones in Blender, then add them - with the geometry assigned to the zones in Blender too.

It would be a lot quicker; is this possible than doing it in Daz - way too slow.

then if you hope to   add Material zone (Group) in Blender,, you can do it use Blender Material. (Actually the way is mostly same as DAZ surface gorup,

assgin geometry (Poligon) for each Material,, now you can use Material name as kind of Material Zone)

In Blender,, actuallly there is no Material group (Surface gorup) which like daz studio,,

but We assign  each poligon for each Material which we hope to use,, then we can use Material Name as kind of Material group.

when  import it to daz studio, (most case, I simply use OBJ,)  it can keep material as daz studio,, Suface group)

In my Pic , I actually made 4 material first,, then assgin poligons for each Mat,(in edit mode), then if I  export  it to daz studio,

each poligons assgined with  matname  turn as surface group in daz studio,,

(so you want to  know  the way to import obj  modified in Blender with mat ?)

Ah,, if you want to change surface group, (daz figure,,) in another apprication,

Once export it,,then modify material grouop,, (mat zone or surface group,,etc)  and export it as obj.

then in daz studio,, from topmenu,,>edit>Figure> geometry>update geometry..  change option as Full geometrry.

it can up-date geometry (with group )

Thanks, I know what to do in Blender; it's what to do once I've done the Blendering (smiley) ; was hoping there was a way.

    Thank you, there is. :)

    yes,,  I  know, you use blender often, and I believe  you know well blender mat,,, then at first see, your topic,,  I could not clear,, what you are asking ^^;

after reply it,, I actually serch way,, to up-date surface  group  cheeky  I usually just use DS gometery editor for modify mat-group.

and  use  up-date geometry  mainly vertex only (for base shape) .  for  modify surface group,,  import and export process is annoying for me,, ^^; )

what part of the import/export is annoying. I don't have any issues when I use Poser format from DS to Blender.

No I have no issue,, but simply hide and show only item which I need to export from scene,

then open blender , load exported obj is annoying for me . I hope "one click" way.

    lol ok I see.

A Blender bridge, like there is a Hexagon bridge would be awesome.:) It is more straightforward, and there is almost never any issues with morphs created with Hexagon bridge; I occasionally have issues via Blender. Although I've been doing them that way for a much shorter time frame, so maybe it's just me needing to practice.

... One click would be good, well two: one to send and one to send back.

arr I haven't done morphs YET so I haven't run into any issues...there is time. LOL
