Farmyard textures do look really nice- thanks for showing that! Your camera angle made it look interesting too. I'm still not in love with the ivy that most vendors are doing, it just looks a bit pancaked/flat to me. I think ivy has a gentle, subtle curve. It indents near where the stem attaches, down the center if it's the species that has the stem through the middle, and the leaves curve out from that depth in the middle. (See image.) Even with different types, most aren't flat. It also seems to me the leaves are turned in more of a myriad of ways, too much of a pattern that repeats in many of the products. I actually wonder if doing primatives or using objects with irregular shapes, then applying an ivy shader (like Mec4Ds in one of her volumes) would do better.
Now back to puckered lips at the end (and someone Ducklips) My pucker fix: You can get a halfway decent result without using any of the custom product morphs, I applied the standard morphs first. You're going to have to deal with the corners of the mouth with the turnup, the amount of bottom lip connecting there (increase the bottom lip width), the mouth width (which influences the pucker) the corner curves, and the lip curves. I also slightly pushed the mouth out with the mouth depth option.
Here's some of the lips on Sunny, just playing around. First is the original, with the ends that IMO pucker/pull. (Some people like that style, not saying it's wrong.)
Original is first.
Second one here: I found that by removing the curves running along the top of the bottom lip, it was a good starting point. Then on some of them, I put it back in later to a small degree. There's other things done here too, but notice how nicely the pucker has left at the corners? The mouth is also widened, you don't have to do it this much, but I did find in my experiments that leaving it small like the original, kept the pucker corners. (I'm sure there's ways around it, I'm simply telling you what I found when I did it.)
So for you folks who like a fuller bottom lip, let's see if we can do that, go more heart shaped, and keep away the pucker. Yes. And then, the ultimate test, do a big expression. Success!
Most Ivy plants around the Dazstudio/Poserworld are probably generated with the free Ivy Generator: http://graphics.uni-konstanz.de/~luft/ivy_generator/
It's easy to use and gives some green stuff so you can ask for more money for your product ...
(Sorry, I really think Ivy is overused ...)

Yep, there's that too! Totally agree.
Okay, two questions, because I'm trying to help people by listing morphs that I use, in case they like the results I'm getting or want to tweak from where I got my results:
1. how the heck do you tell what product is giving you what morphs? I'm looking at different colored sliders but that's not helpful. They're not all labeled in Parameters in the breakdown (the Aiko 7 ones are, for example. In the Actor>Head section, those are neatly listed as HSTW Aiko 7. ) Most the morphs are just there once you click on Head>Real World for example.
2. When you right click, you can add a morph to Favorites. Where the heck does Favorites show up? (Nice to find this my THIRD year of using the Studio, sigh. Am I the only one finding things so late in the game?)
1. the only way I know of is looking at the filename and then searching your data folder for that filename to see in what folder (foldername is hopefully the creator's name) it is.
2. Favorites were added somewhen. Not sooooo long ago. I don't use them, so I can't help you there (just telling you that you are not slow in finding things, some just get added).
There's no way to see the file name. Right clicking doesn't call up that option (Expand, Expand All, Copy, Paste, Hidden, Favorites, etc)
Uhm ... I don't have DS on this computer ... Parameters tab and the gear icon to the right? I think.
Yeah, that's what I'm clicking on.
The long, round-about way to find morphs- I typed morphs in DIM. I have it by recent first, so I knew the Genesis 3 would come up first. Then I took the product name and put it in the store search, looked at the screenshots which does indeed show the sliders. It's the 200 Plus morphs- you HAVE to get these! It's the blue and the blue-green sliders. LOOK AT THE THUMBNAILS.
BTW, why don't we have those 200 as a product for the Genesis 3 males? For the males, the HSTW is this product line (kit 1, 2 and the purple sliders.) And there are female products/sliders as well.
I'd love a 200 morph set for men. I suspect the morphs could be genxd over but I will wait until that product is on sale to purchase and try it.
I wish Daz Studio would indicate what morphs are from where. Some have cryptic labels (as you pointed out) or a different color (which is only helpful if you know what set it goes with), but most don't indicate where they are from. And with 100's of morphs, it's hard to share where the ones you've used came from.
Nope! I didn't know it either, but now that you point it out, it's right there in front of me. Good thing we have this thread and others like Will's to let us know all that is hidden within.
Me too
Some morph sets show when you use the SHAPING tab. you can click on the arrows to get down arrows that expand to show the set names.
Now, that's a cool idea I hadn't thought of! I may give that a try and see what happens as I would love to have those for G3M!
you can click on "currently used" in the parameter tab and it shows you what morphs are used in that character.
I cross gender morphs quite a bit. Some of the ones by hellfish for example weren't made for men so gen-Xing them is the only way to make male alien head morphs. I see no reason the facial shape morphs wouldn't convert but I need to get them on sale.
I already have them and I like your idea so I'll try to see what happens with them tomorrow. I've moved figures up from one generation to another before as I'm slowing moving most of my M4 guys up to G2M. I haven't tried moving up to G3 since the update yet. But, as yet, I haven't GenX across gender lines, yet, other than a few RawArt characters where the M4 UV is used for both genders. I may have accidentally converted the female panda to G2M when I didn't mean to while I was it. :) It will be interesting to see how the 200 morphs look on a male. I'll post to my thread tomorrow to show the results after I convert them with GenX. I'll try a sided by side comparison of some of the morphs, if anyone is interested.
I think you are right, though, that they will transfer fine. I like your idea and I hope you don't mind me rolling with it as I've really been wanting something like this for G3M and if this works, I don't have to wait for the vendor to decide to do a male version. I think there was some discussion, but the vendor never said they would definitely do male version so it could be a long wait for male morphs in a similar package.
I don't know if Novica would be interested in having any of them posted here or not.
Cool! I'd never done that!
That will really speed up tweaking what I've already got in use, thanks! Funny how I've seen that a million gazillion times and never clicked on it.
Sure! Have fun and let's see what you come up with!
EDIT: Please support Ron (Deviney) and buy brushes if you can- Ron apparently has very severe medical issues (cancer) and financial implications resulting from that. I have all of Ron's Brushes except the second Blood one (haven't even used the first one.) The brushes are superb!!!! The thread you should visit to continue expressing support is this one. The one I had linked was closed as this first one exists (but seems forgotten frankly.) So glad the one from a few minutes ago was posted to remind everyone to support Ron.
There was an issue apparently with the Platinum Club freebie not showing up on the site pages (fixed) but be sure you got the pool deck.
I only found out about it a month ago when I was getting deformed genesis 3 females when posing....LOL. Someone mentioned it so I could see if there were some character morphs that shouldn't be there when G3F loaded. :D
So still unclear about Favorites- where do I look for those if I mark something Favorite? I typed it in site search, then tried Google and of course got all kinds of posts dealing with favorite this and that. No help at all.

Old wiki - pictures gone, but maybe it helps.
At top of parameter tab, under All and above Currently Used

Can someone test Ginger for Bethany in Content Library, when you click on the Genesis 3 and the icons for the characters come up, I get error messages saying parts of Bethany are missing even though they aren't (clearly shows Bethany is there, and I can load her without any problem.) GINGER is the problem. and I've uninstalled and installed her twice with the same error messages. EDIT: Figured it out- it says the Bethany HD add on is needed.
I just loaded Ginger for Bethany 7 and had no issues. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I still install with DIM and not Connect. I didn't get any errors whatsoever and she loads fine on my system. No complaints of missing files.
I love Deviney's brushes. I own many! I certainly will support Deviney. I didn't buy the powder or the rips one yet, but I will soon. Thanks for letting us know.
I buy Ron's brushes every chance I get.
Hi, I've been lurking here and notice you do a lot of test renders. I was wondering if anyone had renders of Stonemason's Urban Future 4 or Streets of Asia 2. I'd like to see what they look like when a normal person renders them. Sometimes I think it backfires when PAs do incredible promos because it makes me doubt I could ever achieve anything nearly as good... Thanks.
I haven't done it yet, but I have Urban Future 4. Let me see how it would look with the Apocalyptic Iray lights, without changing any materials. I also have Streets of Asia 2. I don't know if SereneNight has done the Urban Future one, she may have.
