Which animation you are using on what character?

The animations that come with Animate2 are designed for work with V4/M4. Because the rigging is dramatically different between M/V4, Genesis 1, Genesis 2 and Genesis 3, using the default animations on another generation will lead to the problems you experience. The worst "distortions" happens when using G3 in animation with the old animations.

EDIT: you can manually adapt the animation, or you can use something like this: http://www.daz3d.com/animation-conversion-v4-2-to-genesis-and-genesis-2-female

Problem is animation in DAZ is not a physics based system. You must manually adjust the animation to look as physics based as you can manage.

The "toes in the air" hasn't much to do with phsics, but are a pose problem. If you apply a pose meant for M4 on, say G2M, then the feet of G2M will have an akward angle. This is because the zero position for the generations is different, so when you say "Y-25" to M4, it looks fine, while in G2, it will push the joint to whackadooleness.

It is everything to do with physics as gravity would keep the toes and feet on the ground rather than in the air. Reread the way they phrased there question: "walks with the heel and foot is not landing on the floor"

Put some high heels on the characters and consider the problem solved.

Dreamlight have some good (paid) tutorials on how to use additional layers of animation to override things like foot positioning.
