3Delight Rendering Slower Than Iray?

Is this normal? Just curious, usually my scenes render slightly faster in 3Delight than in Iray but not usually by much. This time around the scene rendered in Iray in about 15 min and it looks to be several hours in 3Delight.

It depends a lot on the lighting you're using. Some lighting features which are built in to Iray can take a long time to replicate in 3delight.
I set it up in 3Delight first then converted it over to Iray (then converted it back lol) Its a bit of a darker scene so maybe that's why. Its open though so maybe that's why it was so short in Iray. Its not a problem I have to leave for a couple of hours so can't work on anything else at the moment anyway but was just curious as its usually been the opposite in my experience.
