Fast way to select from scene tab?

Is there a faster way of selecting an object and all its parented objects from the scene tab than expanding from selected and shift-clicking all of them? Like a key shortcut or something like that. It can be tedious when mass converting to Iray.

    Click on the Options menu (in the top corner of the Scene tab) and hover over "Select" — one of the options in the submenu is Select Children.
