Need some story ideas
So I start stuffing around as usual and then I think, these are OK, maybe I could make another comic (sorry, graphic novel) with them. But I have no real ideas and need some suggestions about a story.
I was thinking... shipwrecked?, lost in the jungle?, kidnapped by pirates/natives?... but bleh. Maybe they could just have a nice holiday. Storylines are not my strong point. Any ideas, nothing too dark please.
Comments
well I better not suggest sharks and Tsunamis then
bad sunburn?
I could go with tsunami, thanks. Might be a bit hard to render though..... maybe not.... it's just big water.
Sand monsters?
I like that one too Ostadan. Thank you.
Young girl's musical talent is discovered by Simon Cowell while vacationing in Barbados. She goes on to travel the world on a singing tour, encountering many interesting and strange people along the way.
Fabulous renders/creativity. Family renders, reminds me of Gilligans island. First two image, Lost at sea, a young female runaway, steals a boat becomes lost at sea, to discover an island with dinosaurs and tries to survive. Sort of like Castaway and Jurassic park into one theme.
These ideas are great and thank you awesomefb.
Here's a premise for your consideration, inspired by the nice renders that you have done:
Sandy is an only child, living with her parents in an condominium. Both parents work, often long hours, meaning Sandy is on her own much of the time. Her parents often argue when they are at home: over money, over her chores and over just about everything it seems. It is almost as if she isn't there.
One day, when her parents are having a particularly heated argument, Sandy cannot bear it any longer and leaves the condominium, taking her bicycle and riding off to get as far away as possible. She eventually finds herself riding the bike path along the waterfront, when clouds move in and a thunderstorm begins to build. Not wanting to return home, she spots a marina ahead, and just as the rain begins to pour down, she turns in and, leaving her bike, runs to the fence, squeezes through and jumps onto a houseboat moored there. She takes shelter beneath the boat's overhanging upper deck while the rain continues to beat down. Curious, she peers in through the windows at the tidy interior. As she comes to the door to the cabin, on a whim, she trys the handle, and, to her surprise, it is unlocked, and she enters. She climbs up on a bed next to the window to watch the storm until it passes, but eventually falls to sleep.
Sandy immediately begins to dream. She dreams that she and her parents are on a holiday - a cruise on their houseboat, and have made camp in a sheltered cove with a wide, sandy beach. Her parents never argue, nor nag her about chores. The sun always shines and the sea is always calm, except for the occasional warm breeze. Their days are filled with play and laughter and swimming in the warm water, without a care in the world.
You fill in the blanks and ending. :)
These ideas are exactly what I wanted SixDS. You have an amazing imagination! I generally have a more dramatic element to my stories but you have laid this out so nicely I may well run with what you have proposed. Thank you.
