Why Use "Encrypted DAZ Connect"

I need clarification on DAZ Encrypted Connect, which I am assuming is DRM.

Please I want information, not negativity or a product bashing. I would like to know what are the benefits for me to use Encrypted Connect?? Do I get better looking models, props, etc?? Do I get better pricing, is Encrypted Connect going to make easier to use encrypted stuff in making scenes and animation??

Quite frankly I don't want to by Encrypted anything unless there is something about encryption that really does something for me, I know I'm selfish.

Boy, you just asked a loaded question.  To be bluntly honest, the majority of the benefits of theh Encrypted Content is for the artists and DAZ.  It makes redistributing paid for content outside the DAZ echosystem more difficult.  This means that an artist can sell their wares here, and worry less about piracy.  The main benefits for a Studio user provided by DAZ Connect, is actaully outside the encyrpted part.  Usign DAZ Connect, instead of installing all of your contetn at once, you can get it "on-demand" as DAZ Connect will downlaod and install it the first time you use it.  Plus, when products get updated, the updates are installed dynamically, instead of downloading large patches, only the changed files get downloaded.  Additioanlly these udpates happen automatically, you don't have to start an external program (DAZ Install Manager) to stay up to date. 

Personally, I am not using DAZ Connect, and have only aquired the free Encrypted Content offerings, as I primarily use Carrara, and DAZ Connect does not work with that.  There has been a lot of concern tha the encryption is a form of DRM, and that always leaves a bad taste in people's mouths.  As far as restrictions imposed by DAZ Connect, it is pretty lax.  As long as you can connect to the Internet once, and you live in DAZ Studio, it is really transparent.  Plus, DAZ just announced that encrypted content will automatically rever to non-encrypted 12 months after you purchase it.
