For some reason, the Install manager lists all my installed products as "Ready to Install" and yet doesn't list my new products so I can install them. Yet these products are in the same Install Manager/ Downloads folder. This is in Daz 4.8 on a Mac.
No, I tried those sorters but there's no sign of the new stuff. Is all new stuff installed via the new 4.9 install system? Making Install Manager obsolete?
No, only a few items are Connect only, and if you've got the zips in the downloads folder it should show them, unless they're updates that weren't set up properly. What products are they?
Nothing special: Millenium Environment and some add-ons like Heart of Space Nebulas. SpaceBase. Some updates to Marcoor Corridor. It's both odd that it can't "see" the new stuff and odd that is considers old items already installed to be "ready to install."
If these are already-installed and the downloads don't appear in the interface, they were probably set up incorrectly. If you check the log file in DIM (click the gear icon in the upper right and then "Show Log File" in the lower left) it will probably say "12345 productname is a repeated download". Since those are all PC items, if you post that list in this thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/34725/updated-products#latest then Jen Greenlees will get them fixed.
I can't seem to open the log file. It says "log.txt" is an unknown format and can't be opened. This is when Illustrator is automatically started. Is the log always an Illustrator file?
I should add that my setup is a bit unorthodox. I have a separate machine for video work that isn't online so I download Daz purchases to one machine and then transfer the downloaded zip files to the Daz Library download folder on the other machine. And that folder is on a separate drive from the OS and Apps. It's worked out very well for over a year now, but this last batch of purchases isn't recognized.
That did update things. I'm not sure what the text of the log means, though. There are several items that "have no tags". Still no reason why I can't find the new zips in the downloads folder or why I don't see anything in the installed folder.

If you sort the Ready to Install tab by purchase date, are they showing? There are also filters for just today's purchases in the default filters.

.txt is a text file, it should open in whatever tool Macs have for those - it sounds as if your file type assocations may be muddled.
Thanks for the tip. was able to open the txt file and all the interactions seem to be dated a couple years ago. Nothing from 2015 let alone 16.
Delete the contents of the log and save it, then click the refresh icon in DIM.
