lady sahmara photo ARTWORK ADJUSTMENT

Hello 'lady sahmara photo' and everyone,
Lady asked me to show a proceedure creating an 'in between' version of her 'The old woman and the beast' Artwork when I commented on her fine artwork .
Just to be clear, I do not download other artists work and rework them, this is for illustrative purposes only
- Procedure is loaded the Black and White version into photoshop
- Load Color version in as well and line up both images so no ghosting.
- Apply a 'Layer Mask' to the color version (as shown).
- Select a Brush, I just used the Airbrush with feather edges, adjust the Brush 'Opacity' to 30% and start painting 'Black' onto the Layer Mask.
- This will start to erase some of the Color image and reveal the Black & White image underneath.
- You can add back some of the wiped away Color image by hitting the 'x' key on the keyboard, this will change the Black (remove) to 'White' ( add back)
-Tip - change the Brush Opacity to suit, can be more or less opacity %...experiment to suit
This is my version of the in between Black & White and Color artworks, there can be many other variants made....you could add a Texture layer on top again for more texture overall, endless possibilities.
This is how I create my own Artworks when adding Rons Brushes onto a Layer, add Layer Mask of Brush Effect the wipe away, I also use the 'Layer Blending Modes', found at the top of the layers palette where you see 'Normal', just click down arrow and scroll through them and watch what happens to the layer that is active to find the effect that suits.
Below is a screenshot of this procedure

Thank you very much. This is exactly how I imagined it, I still prefer the sepia, but the coloured version is perfect as such. I will have a closer look on the tablet because I can translate automatically there. Then I will rebuild it. I'm not that good at photoshop yet, but that can all be learnt.
For Info: I asked sign.shop for this explanation :-) and was very happy about it :-)
Thank you for taking the time to respond, this could serve as addtional information that others may possibly find interesting as well......enjoy viewing your artworks
