Daz Simulation broken on 2 laptops

Hi everyone. I have two laptops. A 4060 that keeps getting error messages when trying to sim. And a 4090 that won't finish a sim that used to take 30 seconds. Both laptops are about a year old. I tried installing the October 2024 version of a Studio Driver in the 4060 bc I read on here that this could be the issue, unfortunately that didn’t work for me (maybe it's 2022 version idk). I get two different messages “error see log” and “error preparing objects to simulate and collide.” I just tried to simulate but the log doesn’t show it. I have an open ticket with Daz that hasn't gotten anywhere yet. Any ideas what I’m missing? Do I wipe both laptops and start new? I need to sim for Daz to be worth it, Eli5 please!

UPDATE: I was able to render a blanket over a sphere on the 4090 in a flash so maybe the scene I was working with is too large to simulate efficiently?

  • Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File should let you see the log.

Ty for this. I ended up creating a new project and have been able to sim on the 4060. Clearly something I did during the posing etc messed up the ability to sim. If I get the error again I will post the View Log here.
