Fire Fonts shader not working

I'm using Dimension Theory Fire Fonts and I can't get the fire fonts to take the shader. You're supposed to load the letter and then choose the fire shader to apply, but the shader doesn't apply. I have the letter selected in both the scene tab and the surfaces tab, but the shader still won't apply. I thought maybe the fire wasn't visible in the active viewport, so I did a test render hoping it would show up, but still no luck.I tried in both DAZ Studio 4.23.0.1 and the most recent beta - no luck. Any sugeestions as to what I can try next?

I don't have it.
If you look in the log, gives that any relevant information.
And if you look in the surface tab, can you then see any changes when you apply a shader?
I do see a change when I apply a shader, the area around the letter gets darker but no color and no fire. I checked the log but couldn't make sense of it. There are changes to the surface tab when I apply a shader, but I can't make sense of it. These are volumetric textures, I have very little experience with volumetrics.
The product doesn't mention volumetric, but that might be.
In that case which version as Daz Studio are you using?
I'm using the beta DAZ 4.23.1.27, but they don't work under DAZ 4.23.1.0 either.
I don't own it, but it does say Volumetric on the main promo image.
The Iray Volume shader is part of the Default Resources for Daz Studio 4.23+ DIM package. Make surre you have installed the latest version of that package.
Oh, silly me. I just read the product description...
I made sure that shader is in my library, but it didn't help.
What does your viewport and scene tab look like?
