White background in viewport

2Za2Za Posts: 13

Hello,

As shown in the attachments, the viewport background has become all white, whether in shaded or Iray texture mode. Yet I have not touched any rendering settings...

How can I make Daz usable again?

Thanks in advance for any help

Sometimes a scene will set a Backdrop, which can be an image or a solid colour. Check the Environment tab (not the Environment Settings, that's different). Check that Type is not set to Backdrop. If so, change it to None.

...or it could be the Viewport Style was altered. Check (on the Menu) Window -> Style -> Customize Style... In the dialog, select Viewport. The Viewport Background colour should be 86, 86, 86 (or thereabouts), or whatever you would like it to be.

Open the "Customize Interface Style" dialog by going to Main Menu > Window > Style > Customize Style, and check the "Viewport Background Color." Some older assets occasionally overwrite this value.

Another possibility is that the Environment pane's Type is set to "Backdrop".  To fix this, go to Window > Panes (Tabs) > Environment to open the Environment pane. If the Type: is set to "Backdrop", change it back to "None."
