I made a freebie. It's a tutorial about installing Poser content for use in Daz Studio. I submitted it to Rendo. It's live and available for download in the Renderosity freebies section! I'm Torquinox there, too. wink

There is a lot left to say and do in order to be comprehensive, and I would like this series to be comprehensive and as useful as possible. So, off I go!

Thank you @mding and @Jan_Scrapper ! I hope this helps both of you. I have to focus to finish the next part(s)! cool Also, I'll post here when it goes live.

I have a certain anount of V3 Poser stuff installed, but very rarely look in my Poser directories because they're such a mess - materials being saved as materials or mat poses etc etc. And then there is the artificial distinction of a prop having no rigging, but when rigged it becomes a character and goes somewhere else in the library. Will be interested to look at the tutorial to see if there are clever ways to clean up.

    Regards,

    Richard

Richard, I have not fully addressed cleaning up yet. Sadly, only way I've found is to go through it and rearrange the user facing files so that they become more useful. It is a mess in there and it took me a long time to get it in some sort of order. And it's still messy!

Also Richard, I'm very interested to hear what you think smiley

  • Will look & comment when it goes live, have been checking for it on Rendo.  If the file can be zipped to go under 5Mb, then it can be posted as an attachment here, but only when zipped - IIRC you can't attach pdf's direct to posts.

    Regards,

    Richard

Thanks Richard! I think for now I'm going to post at Rendo. So far, I'm using their products as examples.

  • Understood. Renderosity also has the advantage of a counter so you can see if anyone is interested enough to download your freebie too - can help to decide whether or not to proceed with similar items and how much effort to put in. Regards, Richard.
