Limit Reached

I may have reached the limit of what my 3090 Ti can do. Iray wont do a preview render, render goes black, and has crashed twice. Will using Instancify help with the render?

    1stly make sure if you really ran out of VRAM by using GPU-Z. Usually running out of VRAM shouldn't bring you DS crash.

    Update Nvidia driver to the latest NSD. See if it works.

    If you really ran out of VRAM, I don't think Instancify will help but Scene Optimizer will.

    I was going to do an before and after;

    Before instancify, GPU-Z read 3.4-3.6GB of VRAM and having YouTube playing. Yesterday i had IRAY preview on in 1 of 2 windows on while working on the enviroment/scene with YouTube it hovered around 6.6GB and 7.8GB when 95% completed(just need remapping of textures and 2 more roads). Today, I'm setting up the lighting for Day and Night. So i decied to add models to it and see how far i can push it and see where i need lighting. Still working on the lighting so I apologize if the lighting isnt good, trying to capture a clear night sky with a full moon while having the patio lights on.

    Now heres the update after the post. My VRAM stayed at 17.2GB without YouTube playing. YouTube had this weird audio cutting in and out as if i was out of range with my earphones during renders, this happened a lot yesterday when it passed 7GB of VRAM. After doing all of that, the scene rendering in 11 minutes.

    Chrome in particular is a VRAM hog

    I wouldn't watch Youtube while doing a render unless you have a separate card for your monitors

    I'm still learning what to do/not to do on PC's. I'll close Chrome when I do renders from now on, I didn't know Chrome did that.
