using Daz 3d Carrara 8.5 pro

I'm looking at Carrara 8.5 Pro,  and it has a bunch of items  V5, M5 pro bundles etc..   which is cheaper to buy Carrara as well.

Would I be able to use all the content  in Daz 3d ? ( http://www.daz3d.com/carrara-8-5-pro )

Since my understanding is that Carrara is pretty much replaced with Daz 3D ? (from readin the forum)

    Howdy pkappetein,

    Carrara 8.5 Pro is certainly a good deal, and you can use all of the content that is included as part of V5 and M5 Pro in Studio, but you cannot use the Carrara native content.  Carrara has not been functionally replaced by Studio, as Carrara is a full-featured 3D modeling, rendering, and animation program.  You cannot do any modelign in Studio, all you can do is use pre-made content.  Currently Carrara is behind in its support for the newest features such as Genesis 3 and DAZ Connect, but DAZ has indicated that they are workign on bringing some of this to Carrara.  Good luck!

    idk what the Native content is,  but seems like all the content that was included was all for Daz 3D as well. (if you buy them seperately then it's much more)  so thought it was a good deal, if i can use it all in Daz 3d.

    I know you can not make your own characters etc in Daz... but you can do the animation right?

    The shader pack is for Carrara but the rest are good for Daz Studio.

    I got this pack and still think it was a good deal even if I have never used about a third of the content.

    Sure, one could spend a couple of months hunting down bargains for some of them or equivalents and not get what you don't think will be useful and that might save a few more $ or you could grab this and start playing.

    Plus who knows.... maybe you'll like Carrara?

    Edit: When you say "Animation" do you mean posing for still shots or animation for moving picture strips (to use an old way saying it)

    yeah,  like short animations, like zooming into a room or move through a hallway  etc..  like you are the 3rd person in a game
