RTX 5090 Specs!

Unlike the 4090, that requires a huge area, a triple slot card, the 5090 may be much slimmer only requiring two slots and should run cooler.

Video Outputs are identical to the 4090

Cuda Cores 21,760 (4090 has 16,384)

Core Frequency 2.01 GHZ (4090 has 2.23)

Boost Core Frequency 2.41 GHZ (4090 has 2.52)

Memory Capacity/Type 32 GB GDDR7 (4090 has 24 GDD56X)

Memory Bandwidth 1792 GB/s (4090 has 1008 GB/s)

Memory Interface 512 - bit (4090 has 384)

Memory Clock 28 gbps (4090 has 21)

TGP 575W (4090 has 450)

Power Connector 12V-2x6 (4090 has same)

Release Date 2025-01-30th (4090 was released during 2022-10)

Cost of a 5090 should only be about $500.00 more than the 4090.

There will be a better jump in performance, supposedly the GDDR7 makes it up to 33% faster. But this will vary in benchmarks. The 32 GB of VRAM means raytracing will be smoother and textures will have better details stored (if those details exist).

The 5060 TI (???) Release date not January, probably not February (likely in March, but could be as late as June the RTX 4060 TI was released May 24th 2023, 7 months after the 4090)

RTX 5060 (???) Same as above

The 5070 (about $549.00) with a release date of February 2025

The 5070Ti ($749.00)  $50.00 lower than the 4070, with a release date of February 2025

The 5080 ($999.00) $200.00 less than the 4080 with a release date of Jan 30th 2025

RTX 5090 ($1,999.00) 400.00 more than the 4090 with a release date of Jan 30th 2025

  • I saw the cost of these in Australia dollars, and it's basically double the USA amount. I'd like to get a 5080, but might go with a 5070 Ti instead.

Exciting. I look forward to seeing the performance, especially of to 5090, relative to prior versions, when using of DAZ Studio buy it and render the performance scene included in the performance thread in The Commons. I think that a single 4090 is between 60 - 70 seconds now. I'd like to see an RTX card do that scene in 20 - 30 seconds, that's probably not until a 6090 or even later comes about.

I am getting my third custom build, but this one will only have one card, a 5090, MSI MEG Z890Godlike, Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and 256 DDR5, But, the downside is that the card does not render all frames. DLSS generates a bunch. I believe you can turn off DLSS and multiframe Gen at 4x (max) or lower. 4xmax works something like this: The 5090 card renders frame 1, then it renders frame 2 but  AI snags it (Deep Learning Super Sampling), witholds it and creates a few artificial (fake) in-between frames, based on the info from those 2 genuineframes. It releases the 2nd genuine frame made by the 5090 as frame 5. Then it does a rinse and repeat. It witholds the genuine frame 6 and creates 3 more artificial frames than releases the 3rd genine frame as frame 9. This will really mess up benchmarks as the card is not doing the majority of the rendering. Nvidia site shows Cyberpunk 2077 with max settings, running at 4k, only getting 28 FPS without DLSS but with DLSS multiframe generation at 4x getting 230 FPS. I'm buying the card for the VRAM, Currently my best rig has 22GB VRAM and 128K of RAM so this new one will be faster although I won't be able to render in DAZ initially.
