I think this (tiny) render about sums up my problem in one go;

I've the newest version of D|S, and the dress doesn't mention any dependencies, so as far as I can determine, I should be good to go frown

    Sorry I didn't specifiy, but yes, that's an actual render.

    I saw the proper fur once, in the mean time - could it be be a memory issue...?

    Which tool do you have active? Switch from mesh tools like geometry editor and mesh grabber to something else like universal tool.

    Well, whadda ya know, that worked - I had the geometry editor active. Switched away from it and it worked just fine :-) Too bad that bug/feature is undocumentated, and not warned against :-/
