Is Animate 2 constraint needed for simple animations or Animate lite is enough?

Is Animate 2 constraint needed for simple animations or Animate lite is enough? I watched the DAZ animation tutorial and it there it talks only about animate2 - is this the recent animate 2 constraint?

  • AFAIK, animate hasn't really been updated in years. The version you get in DS today is animate 2, just with certain functions disabled until you enter a serial number in the "About Plugins" menu.

Depending on what you're doing, you may not need the full functionality.

Constraint? AniMate 2 is a tool for playing and creating AniBlocks, which can be stacked to make animations - however, it isn't really a tool for making basic animations in the first place.

Is that means if I decide to create more complex animations, I can only buy a serial key w/o the need for monthy payments for Plus or Premium?

If you need to create more complex animations, or something that an aniblock doesn't exist for, you'll need to use the Timeline tab, and keyframe animation.

But if you do want the full AniMate 2 it has nothing to do with Premier.
