Garribaldi Hair problem

Okay, I'm new to Daz3D, so maybe I'm missing something completely obvious to anyone who has experience. I got Garribaldi Hair. I went through the tutorial, got that looking like I wanted it to, and when it didn't render I went online and found a blog that said to attach it to my figure as a child node... so I did that. Still didn't render. Somewhere else said to change the name of it and save it as a wearable preset. Changed the name, saved as. Still nothing. I render, my poor 3D model comes out bald. I emailed Garribaldi's contact us email and have had NO reply. I emailed Daz3D in hopes that someone there would take pity on me, and got only the automated reply. Learned a lesson there - do NOT expect decent customer service OR documentation on extra stuff bought here. However, I'm hoping that some kind soul somewhere in these forums would be able to help me out and 'splain to me what exact steps I'm missing in all this trying... I mean, I'm NEW. I had to look up how to save morphs and was like "What the hell is an ERC freeze?"... I am probably missing something - some box to click or thing to run that is dead obvious, but because it's dead obvious no one is covering it and I'm going a bit nuts - and getting pissed that I spent money on a useless add-on.

Ummm...are you rendering in 3Delight?
If you are using Iray, you need to convert to a mesh object, first...can't remember how to do that (haven't used Garibaldi since the beta days).

Go here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/17751/garibaldi-express-hair-and-fur-plugin-commercial#latest and explain what you are running into. There are some folks over there that are very helpful in explaining how to get this to work. Make sure you tell them if you are rendering in 3delight or Iray (although I gather from your post its 3delight?). They have helped me many times and there is also a ton of other information about the product as well.
I had been rendering in Iray, as that's apparently the default... and Garribaldi doesn't have the 'show mesh' button that it has in the dang tutorial video... argh. Thanks for the help, I'll poke around in the forums you both mentioned - I appreciate it.
