deleting geometry
A question about the geometry editor (under the Tools menu).
If I want to delete some geometry from an object, I seem to have to select the vertices, then hide them, then delete hidden vertices.
Three separate actions. The middle one seems redundant. Why not just have an option delete selected vertices ?
Something to consider for future versions of Studio perhaps?
It's a bit like having:
1) select vertices
2) call the selected vertices "Brian"
3) delete anything called "Brian"
Unnecessarily elaborate, in my view.

I wondered the same thing except I call them Vera
and what, may I ask, has poor Brian or Vera done to get them deleted. Are they in the same club as poor old Bill Stickers.
they are simply not wanted...casue they are nasty polygons
yes yes.. all jolly amusing thanks. (My fault for making a poor joke, I guess).
But you take my serious point?
Why the unnecessary step?
Oh I am serious when I said I wondered this myself. I won't make the same mistake.
But does anyone know of a reason DAZ makes us go via hiding stuff before we are allowed to delete it?
Maybe to help you be sure you really want it gone permanently. If you hide it first, you see what it would look like if it is gone, but you can get it back by unhiding. Just a guess....
Yes, I guess that's it. Thanks
Always wondered that, Sertorial.
Would be a nice feature indeed.
