Fastest Possible Render Options for Visual/Manga Style Shaders

I'm looking at the promo images for these products:

and wondering whether these renders take more or less time to create than standard Studio renders.

Also, what Studio settings should I toggle off to speed up cartoon-style renders? I doubt subsurface scattering would be of much use for these kinds of images. Also advanced lighting settings (like complex shadows, reflections and so on) wouldn't be altogether necessary either, right?  (The exception maybe being promo pic 8 for Manga Style Shaders.)

What other Studio settings don't I need, and where should I look in options to make sure they're toggled off?

  • Ha!  Looks like I stumped everyone here with that question.

    I suppose I could always refer to one of Szark's tutorials about optimizing render speeds, then apply those guidelines to a comic art render and see how it goes.
