Nvidia driver -- manually installed vs auto-installed?

Hello! I just installed an RTX 3060 card, and Windows 10 Pro auto-installed both the Nvidia control panel and Nvidia driver 560.94 (dated 8/14/2024).
I see that a lot of people here manually install the Nvidia Studio Driver -- what would be the advantage of doing that instead of just using the one that was auto-installed?

For a given version, none - but overriding the automatic process does allow the use of older drivers, if a new one proves problematic for Iray (or other purposes).
Thank you, Richard.
