Manual download file and Dim download file - are they the same file?

When I use DIM to install content, I have it save the file to an archive area on my hard drive. Can that saved file be used to install a product manually (as if the file had been downloaded as a Manual download) at some later date??? Or is it only useable with DIM????

Yes, they're the same .zip file. The only difference is that DIM also downloads a small plain text manifest file with each installer that helps it keep track of where it puts everything, and when there's an update available.
