Rearranging Smart Content list

in New Users
So I know if I drag an item from my content directory tab over to the smart content tab it will add that item where I drag/drop it.
Problem is, I want to better organize the smart content by adding new categories, such as aliens under figures or Code 51 under wardrobe.
I found that if I right click an item and select categorize, I can add a new category from there, but that didn't seem to do anything at all.

I found that if I uncheck "Filter by context" than my subcategories and items show up that I categorized by right clicking and selecting the "categorize" option.
So how would I get those items and categories to show up when the "Filter by context" option is checked?
You need to drag it from the Content Library to the Smart Content category you want while the figure you wnat it to appear with is loaded and selected in the scene.
In order to create a new category, I first need to assign an item to that category through the right-click->categorize option, correct?
If I want it to show for any character, then have nothing in the scene selected/loaded? (such as a new character like Joromok)
For items that work with multiple characters, have each one loaded and selected at the same time?
I'm not sure if it works with multi-selections, I've never tried.
Thank you Richard, I'll get around to trying it soon :)
I like the way the "Products" section in the Product library is set up but unfortunately it can't know about 3rd party products So I'm wanting to basically turn my Smart content tab into a full library so I can easily find both my Daz and 3rd party products. :)
Okay, thanks to this thread, I am having a go at trying to move somethig from the Content Library into Smart Content. As an experiment, I located a nice pair of shoes I bought at Rendo and have installed in "My Library." I located the shoes in DAZ Studio Formats > My Library > People > Genesis 3 Females > Shoes > VendorName and I dragged them into Smart Content > Wardrobe > Shoes. I see that a new "Product" called LOCAL USER is created, with some kind of generic icon that looks like a little picture frame with a "!" inside a triangle. If I open that "Product" by double clicking, I see the shoes I dragged in. So, it seems I have been successful in getting them into "Smart Content." But how do I give this new Product a meaningful name, and thumbnail?
Is this stuff documented anywhere?
Well, right now what I'm doing is:
I have nothing loaded in my scene,
I'm going through my content library tab through each folder (this is going to take a while...)
Starting with figures and clothing, when I find one, I select everything in that folder for that set and right click,
I select "categorize" from the options and figure out where I want the items to go. For example, I take all the items from the Future Cop set and I select Categories->Default->Wardrobe->Outfits
Then I right click and select "Create sub directory" Which I then Name "Future Cop"
This then gives me a folder in my smart content tab under those subfolders.
So when I'm looking for an outfit, I can see just outfits (and every item for the outfit) in a quick glance and decide which one I want to use. (Or which pieces)
There's still some stuff I'm going to have to work out later I think, Like folders not showing up when I have stuff selected in my scenes or something. But I haven't gotten that far yet.
