Trying to effectively use the Princess of Eire 2 set.

Ok, so I'm pretty new to Daz but it's pretty great.  I'm rather confused though.  I picked up the Princess of Eire 2 set as when I picked up the Princess of Iray bundle, and I bought everything it said it required, all the way back to the Gen1 stuff just in case, even though I'm working exclusively with G3.  It seemed like it used the MFD for G3F, but it appears to only use the Medeival cloaks from G2?  I mean, I've used some other G2 stuff on my G3 people (especially armor for guys) with varying degrees of success, but this cloak is kicking my tail.  Choosing item type as dress (knee length) when I convert, but even then I'm rather at a loss.  Is there a repository of "how to use" instructions for products I just haven't found in general, or any help someone might offer specifically in this case?
