DIM installed (same) content suddenly larger on HDD?

As DS4.23 and my library files all suddenly disapeared from my HD I am re-instaling.

Unfortunatly all the installed content is taking many times more space than the origional install.

I started with the Genesis 9 content as its the smallest and has already half filled my content HDD.

I would not mind except they are (1) not going to fit and (2) they are the SAME source files.

This has made DS unusable as the content would require many more terabytes of storage than all 5 of my drive have available and the one I used has space to spare (origionly).

I have installed vanilla in regards to settings so I have no idea how to fix this as uninstalling & re-installing makes no difference.

Has the DIM some settings that have been triggered that has uncompressed something?

    Do you happen to be saving the zip files on the same drive?

    The applications are on an SSD

    the Downloads and installed content is on a HDD (5gb)

    So far I installed the Genesis 9 content which has filled about half the HDD.

    Prevouisly I had everything from early Poser content through to Genesis 9 with room to spare on same drive.

    Not sure what is happening.

    Correction HDD is 5 TB

    The zips will go if Delete After Install is checked in the Ready To Install tab of Install Manager.

    If you previously installed through Conmnect everything would have been compressed, if you now use DIM then some files may not be compressed. Also, check that the DIM install is being seen and that you are not ending up with a Connect install too.

    Connect never worked properly so I previously installed content via the DIM.

    The issue is the installed content is taking more space than it usualy does.

    As this is not the first time I have re-installed content as I have had hard drives fail in the past.

    This does not make any sence especialy as these are the same install files, they are not just bigger but many times so.

    Well I have uninstalled and re-installed 5+ days and content size looks correct.

    Unfortunatly some installed content is not visable in the Content Library.

    Example all characters under Genesis * Female after the Sakura character do not apear and cannot be found by search standard or smart content.

    Navigated to the folder and the content is there and when I click the .duf file DS opens with the character.

    The DIM shows it as fully installed, the content is there but Daz Studio cannot see it?

    Okay full reboot later everything (seems) to be working...
