LimbStick Gen3+8 not working in both Daz4.2.2 and Daz4.2.3

Install LimbStick with DazCentral.

when clicking the script through smart content > LimbStick for Genesis 3 + 8

This error occurred:

\src\pluginsource\DzCustomizeDlg\dsaddonwidgets.cpp(1024): File: data/3D Universe/LimbStick/3duLS.ui does not existScript Error: Line 149TypeError: Result of expression 'wLogoWidget' [null] is not an object.Stack Trace: ()@D:/Tools_Subscription/DAZ_Studio/3D Universe/Limb Stick/3DU LimbStick G3+8.dse:149Error executing script on line: 149Script executed in 0 secs 11 msecs.

Tried uninstall and re-install LimbStick through DazCentral not working.

Tried update my Daz to the latest version 4.2.3.0.1 not working

Tried manually run the scrip  through ScriptIDE > File > Open Script > Execute not working

I ran out of ideas on how to solve this problem - need help! :(

I have the utility (the same as the one you have for Genesis 3 and 8), and it works for me. I have just installed it to check. I started it from the content library and not from the smart content, but I don't think it really matters. I checked if there is no .exe installer for the product in my product library in my account, but there is none, so it's impossible to use this option. Did you try installing the file manually? I mean putting the data, runtime, and scripts manually in your Daz Studio content folder? That's all I can suggest.

    Edit:

    Look at this thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/8650321/#Comment_8650321

It can't be run from Smart Content and here is what Jay Versluis says:

Just FYI: Limb Stick is one of those few products that doesn't launch from via Smart Content.

If you right-click on the script and choose Show Asset in Mapped Folder, you'll see it open in the Content Library. Starting it from there will assure it runs fine.

    Hope this helps!

  • Thank you for the reply!

After fiddling around for an hour, it is as you said, the product can only be run from the content library.

LimbStick devs should include this piece of critical information in their product description - I spent far more time trying to activate their product then learning how to use it.
