Pirate ship with ability to lower sails?

I've been looking at pirate ships here on DAZ, but it appears none of them have the ability to lower the sails. Anyone know of such a ship?

Do you mean for an animation, or would a ship with multiple versions of the sails work?

For example these have rolled sails and full sails:

yes, just rolled, so if the ship is in port the sails wouldn't be billowing out laugh

PW's smaller pirate ship ( https://www.daz3d.com/pw-customizable-pirate-ship ) does not have an option to furl the sails per se but each sail is its own object and they can be turned off.

The Poseidon has furled sail props (even the jibs!) but you have to hunt for them; the ship loads two objects for each sail, one visible one invisible, and you have to manually switch them all; hide the full ones and show the furled ones.

Charlie's old pirate ship is a single lump of OBJ -- only the deck props, such as cannons, are separate -- but all the sails are a single surface, so in a pinch you can turn off opacity on that surface and lose them all at once. (They are also shown in a very strange configuration, with topsail only on the aft mast, the aft mainsail being furled and turned so it is completely out of service.)

I don't own any but those three so I can't give you a direct report on any others ;P

What do you consider a pirate ship? I have a lot of Faveral ones that aren't called pirate ships but they might even have that flag as an option. Some are older though

Faveral's Licorne https://www.daz3d.com/licorne has both sails, but you need the Licorne Accessories https://www.daz3d.com/licorne-accessories

  • How about https://www.daz3d.com/hms-victory not sure if it's considered Piratey enough but looks like it has full and stowed sails
