Grungy industrial environment with huge wall fan?

IMHO, the grungy industrial hallway/room with a huge wall fan through which lightbeams cut into the hazy atmosphere is a staple of sci-fi movies, series and games;

I want to pay tribute to that trope. However, to my surprise, I've been unable to find a suitable environment. There's the ancient Vent Room by coflek-gnorg over at Rendo, Cable Canyon by Stonemason has the right vibes but lacks the fan.

The
Cyberpunk Corridor by Dreamlight is very close, but given that I want the fan to be in the back and not on the ceiling, that's a bit of a bummer. I suppose I could rotate the whole, but I don't think that'd look good. Not to mention that as a computer builder it's painfully obvious to me that these are computer parts scaled way up wink

Anyway, TL;DR: anyone know of a (recent) grungy industrial environment with huge wall fan? I'm willing to convert stuff, so feel free to recommend stuff from, for instance, Turbosquid.

Not aware of any but you could try and bodge a hole in your environment with gescon if you have it and stick a random fan model in it. Or kitbash something. here's a couple of arches from my library, a brick shader and a fan.

Also, since you mentioned scaled up computer parts, here's a scaled up computer part, and George.

I do enjoy kitbashing and your example is great :-) My standard modus operandi is, however, to look for exisisting things. They usually have weathering and baked-in shadows and whatnot to tie everything together better. I don't always feel like applying decals to fix it smiley

    George is adorable!

Recent enough for my liking and I feel it'd detail quite nice. Thanks for the link!

There's 3 room products in this series.  The "what's included" lists the fan vent and blades as separate items.  https://www.daz3d.com/scifi-living-bedroom

Glad you pointed that one out! Thanks - think I passed that one by, but discounted it on account of the thumbnail smiley

This is one of my usual fallbacks.  It's a single wall so it can easily be stuck onto most other sets for a nearly instant kitbash, and works fine in Iray with minimal tweaking

Razor Rider: Vent Room 3D Models coflek-gnorg (renderosity.com)

And if you just want the giant fan to stick in a hole in something else, there's DZ Fire's Nurnies and Greeble kits, which contain just about anything you might want to build.  There are giant fan components in Vols. 1 & 2, and mounting brackets/grills suitable for one in all three:

Nurnies Greebles Parts and Pieces | Daz 3D

Nurnies Greebles Parts and Pieces Vol 2 | Daz 3D

Nurnies Greebles Parts and Pieces Vol 3 | Daz 3D

No fan here, but this set has several great places to place one with minimul fuss

The Old Pumping Room | Daz 3D

Likewise, there's also an actual wind tunnel testing facility here in the DAZ store.  Old Jet Engine Test Facility | Daz 3D  It doesn't have a fan but, again, it's not hard to place one in there with the fans I listed above.  You do have to clean out all the plats, refuse, etc., though.  (Curse you, vendors who make "abandoned" sets that don't come with a clean version.)
