Before adding a new generation to my inventory, I need something major to make the jump. I never bought 8.1 because there wasn't anything ground shattering. Thw same for G9. However, the new toon characters and shader might be just the thing to get me to start buying G9.

    You can also use the new, free shaders on G8 (and any other generation). You don't technically need the G9 toon meshes, although there are some specifics that come with it to help with things like eyes which, as I understand it, require a little more work on older generations or the base G9 genesis package.
