How to "redock" undocked viewport?

In way that baffles me, I have somehow managed to undock my Viewport pane from the center of the screen, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to set it back where it was (and preferablly to lock it in place to never ever move, under any circumstances ever again... you get the picture). The only place it wants to be attached is either of the side panels which is an a very long list of places where I dont want it to be.

 

There is a very big rant building in me about how all those hamburger and right click menus that are filled to the brim with things I do not want to use, and never will use, but not one of them says "Dock me back in the center fam!". Still it is the holy day of Friday so cannot be too mad.

    Found out I had to drag it by upper "bar" rather than by "title" and look for a pixel wide heighlight to indicate it would snap back while doing so.

    Yes, drag by the tab to place a pane in a different pane group, drag by the top bar to dock the pane group with its current contents.
