Gold shader problem

Hello !
When I use some average / free shaders for gold, they render quite darkly in HDRI like Click N' Render - Black and White Edition - IBL Set
If I use shaders from Uber+ Iray Antique Metals, I can find some that look fine, but then the gold seems tarnished and used, no matter the tile for the shader (edit : which I know is normal for this set of shaders, but I can't then seem to get the result I'm looking for.)
Is there a way to have smooth looking gold that doesn't go that dark in dark HDR ?

Isn't that the point of that product? Shaders that look scuffed and tarnished? The description does state this:
My point is : how to get normal gold color, like with this product, but not with the flaws...Like modifying surfaces setting, or buying another particular set of shaders.
Oh, sorry I misunderstood. Apologies for that.
I do have that lighting set and the options contained do vary how a sphere with a gold shader looks. I am not really much of a master with lighting yet but perhaps you need to add a wide soft fill light to shine on the breast plate as some of the lighting options are quite harsh which does leave much of the curved away surfaces in shadow?
Try to include something else on the other side of the camera. Right now it is a black background so your first one is reflecting back the black. i am guessing.
Maybe I misunderstand.
If you want a gold shader without scratches etc., there is one in default ressources (or at least I think it is part of default ressources).
You can also make your own, by setting Metallicity to 1, and the base color to something goldish.
My guess is that it is what is used on the first screenshot.
Edit: hu, they were screenshots the last time I opened the topic.
Screenshots should be still there, I see them :/
And yeah that's what I did in first place. I will try the other answers tho ! Thanks all for the suggestions :)
Gold shader - adjust roughness to your liking.
Gold looks like gold because of the light it reflects, so as GhostofMacbeth says you need stuff for it to reflect.
There is something reflected, the HDRI from this product:

I think the gold shader in the "DAZ Uber" folder is pretty nice. And I think it comes with DAZ Studio.
