I upgraded to Daz Premiere, but I know I had still quite some months of Daz+ left over.

Even before I switched to Daz Premiere Membership, my Daz+ Membership was not acitve and I did not see Daz+ prices.

    I opened a ticket.

It seems it was not really thought through very well.

Daz+ Members should have got a mail and Daz should have give a discount on Premier Membship for the money left on the Daz+ Membership

  • Yeah I'm not gonna pay 9,99 a month when I was paying a deeply discounted price before.  QoL updates only go to premiere? Yeah... I'm out...

My membership page lists me as a DAZ+ member until next october.  The Daz+ page wants me to join and does not show the current DAZ+ freebie of the week.

There are display issues for some people, which are gradually getting fixed. You should be seeing the correct, Daz+ pricing and the freebies are listed on the daily promo pages https://www.daz3d.com/the-2024-premier-sale#freebie

Some of the store pages are a little confused, some pages have to be refreshed several times before "purchased" displays on the product pages.

The fishing rod flowers were free during the week of the 1st.
This week's freebie are the denim shaders.

eta: found where you found the reference, yeah, that page is wrong eh.

eta: There's also another flower pack showing as free in the products list.
My search strategy: Store > Filter/Artist/Daz Originals > sort: low to high

Well today I finally got a reply to my ticket started on 7th.

Everyone was gifted a bunch of items that I've already paid for and I was offered 1 month Premier for my 3 months remaining Daz+.  If serious about keeping me happy maybe two months... I already own the "free bundles".

Anyway I just closed the ticket and decided I've spent enough and have every possible 3d thing I will ever need.

So now again, we have a paid version of DAZ Studio. Many years ago I paid extra for DAZ Studio Advanced (was that the name?). Right after that, DAZ Studio went free.

I just don't see any compelling new features for the paid version of DAZ Studio. It's nothing that interest me. And all those sale prices and coupons continue to confuse me.

I can't help wonder if this new paid version is a step toward DAZ Studio version 5. Will DS v5 be a subscription only version?

It isn't a paid (subscription) version of daz Studio - it is a subscription set of additional plug-ins, and content, and possibly other things on top of the standard daz Studio - which has had updates in the latest build and has just gained a Filament-based toon shader, so clearly not being neglected in favour of the subscription strand.

More accurate to say that it's the removal of tools from the market - that were available under perpetual license for a fair price - and the moving of those tools to an expensive subscription/rental model. It does actually detract from the base version of Studio as users can no longer purchase those tools if needed.

The subscription does, of course,  include far more than just the plug-ins - though equally obviously not everyone is going to have use for more than one of the benefits.
