I would use a V4 clone on G8 and use actual Ella's Clothing on G8. V4 clones exist in free and paid versions and there are tutorials for making your own clones, too.
Yes, I know and may do that eventually, but I'm really surprised that there is no leather G8F outfit in this style, would really have loved to find one.
Did you look at G3F wardrobe to kitebash something ? It has plenty of bikini armors and their design are likely less complex than armors for G8F so closer to the simpler look you seems to want.
It's easy to convert clothes from Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 either manually (if you don't know how to do it, I can share link to tutorial explaining how to do it: it's more tedious than complex if you have plenty of clothes to convert) or by using a paid converter. In both cases, the results are usually really really close to the same clothes fitted to their intended figure, due to how similar both figures are.
The only part you're better served sourcing from G8F wardrobe are the boots if you want high heeled boots: it's suppose to be not that hard to convert, but I'm always scratching my head when I'm trying to convert shoes between G3F and G8F while I could convert any other items in my sleep at this point.
To quote a couple of them who could provide some parts:
maybe look at https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-barbarian-queen-outfit-for-genesis-8-females or

Thanks for the elaborated answer ! I found out that G3 had more leather fantasy outfits for some reason. G8 is really lacking on that. I think now with the Freya 9 stuff G9 has almost more leather outfits...
I have the outfits you mentionned, tough Untamed Warrior is quite the challenge for me to get right on G8F...Barbarian Fantasy fits like a charm really :)
As for the other answer, thanks for your help as well. While less classic, at least Y'vas is a nice fantasy leather outfit with a good quality :)
@elor & @canary3d great suggestions! I have some of those. Yes, good.
Another suggestion, but only if there's multiple V4 outfits you'd like to use with G8F: https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-clothing-converter-from-victoria-4-to-genesis-8-female.
I have the V4 to G3F version and it works very well. The converted outfits also Autofit to G8F. You might still need to use G8F footwear. I haven't had footwear issues with the product, but that may be due to my preference for low/no heels in fantasy art.
Did you use autofit or did you follow tutorials explaining how to convert clothes manually ?
Autofit will remove any custom bones from an outfit and the Untamed Warrior has a truckload of them so it must be converted in a way preserving bones. Luckily, they are ways to do it between G3 and G8.
Of the top of my head, they are slight variations between the two tutorials (I think Sickleyield changes the pose of the character while Jay Versluis changes the pose of the clothes), but the end result should be fine in both cases.
Riversoft Art is also selling clothes converters for G3 to G8 and vice-versa. I never tested them, but they should provide good results too, with the advantages of doing the grunt work for you and adding the metadata so that converted clothes are available through Smart Content. And the disadvantage of costing money of course.
Regarding the tutorials, text versions:

Video versions if you prefer to learn that way:
In the end, the Untamed Warrior outfit looks fine once converted (following either tutorial). I linked all products used in my gallery, 'Pommeling' autofit away (no idea if pommeling exists in English, but it still sounded like what she's doing, bashing someone with the pommel of her sword). I also linked the various clothing converters, but only if someone viewing the render prefer to use them.
For this render, I redid the conversion but it's one of the outfit I converted first and I don't remember having problem with it back then. By default, they are no Smoothing Modifiers on any of the clothes. Maybe there is a good reason, but I didn't have the time to fix them with Blender or Hexagon. so I added them to fix a couple of poke-through on the top and the legs.
