Any products to create dust, flying sand?

Looking for a dust maker...maybe a vdb product? Will use for horse hoofs on dir, trucks in desert sand, dirt roads et.

Most of the "dust" kits seem to be an atmosphere cube to generate particles in the air and not much more. I've been having some good luck lately trying out KA's VDB Electrical Sandstorm kit; the VDB dust clouds are actually a fairly good representation of the kind of dust you're talking about. The only problem is the dust clouds are intended for HUGE sandstorms so you have to scale them down a lot, and once you do, you'll probably want to thin out particle density and/or adjust opacity.

In a non-VDB approach, I've also had some good results with FSL's The Cloud Effects. You will have to tweak it a fair bit but it works. (Bonus: at the moment it seems to be extremely cheap!)
