Can we get more sort options for "Smart Content"
Using the files view and not the product view in smart content (and I suspect I'm not the only one), it would be really helpful to have a few more sorting options that are not dependant on the products themselves.
Something like "Sort by last update" or "Sort by install Date" shouldn't be dependant on the product when you're in file view. It should look at the files.
Additionally, for your own saved files, or just files that don't belong to any product, it would be really helpful to have a seperate "Sort by creation/modification date". It's a real pain in the backend if you have to re-install, or migrate the database to somewhere else, only to realize that your latest files are buried under 1000s of older files and there's no way to sort them logically.
Edit: Placeholders for the search would be nice as well, for example you have several scenes starting with the name "castle" followed by numbers. Searching for "castle" returns nothing in smart content, while in the content library it lists all files that contain "castle" in the name.

Oh I feel your pain, Sort by ID sometimes is helpfull, as the newer content will "USUALLY" have a higher content id. But yeah it's kind of a mess. Nevermind all the 3rd party stuff that isn't included in the smart content...like..p coff coff. stuff.... and that can be pretty extensive in itself.
At least soem of what you want is already possible http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/interface/panes/smart_content/advanced_filtering/start (don't forget you can save filters, too - and that clicking on tags will create a filter to fidn that tag, which can do some of the grunt work for you).
Oh, I didn't know that. It's very counterintuitive though, but at least it's usable. I do wonder, however, why Daz doesn't use a more traditional search function like in the content library.
The Content Library search was much moer limited than that in Smart content - though the new General Release has now improved that (using the same features as Smart Content). Sorry, I was gtting my versions confused - but if you look at the change log I will apaprently be right at some point in the future http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/change_log
But you can categorize 3rd party content manually, and even create your own Smart content categories, which helps a lot.
