I am trying to rig my dress but having problems. Have watched videos and went step by step with no success. One thing that is happening is when I use transfer utility my clothing gets real small and moves from the chest to the avatars ankles. Can anyone assist or is there another way to rig my clothing? I am using the standard genesis morphed down to child size. Thank you in advance for any help.

Is the model you are trying to rig zeroed, or have you scaled it and moved it to line up with Genesis? If it's been transformed in DS, hide everything else, export as OBJ using the DS preset (with ignore hidden nodes checked), import that OBJ, again with the DS preset so it is the right size, and use the Transfer utility on that. The utility works on the base shape, ignoring any extra modifications.

I scaled the genesis down to a child, yes. Is there a way to rig something for a child size? The shirt was not made to be an adult shirt. Sorry I am new to all this.

Did you get your issue sorted, just4gamez?

From what I gathered, you first shrunk Genesis down to child size, modeled your dress around it, and are trying to create conforming clothing for Genesis set at child size via the Transfer Utility. Correct?

If so, I believe you're having issues because, if I remember correctly, all clothing needs to be modeled around the base Genesis and create the conformer at base size. Once done, you can dial Genesis to child, and your newly created clothes will follow to the correct size you envisioned.

Even though you don't mean for the clothes to be for an adult it is one of the benefits of the system. All clothes created for Genesis can be used for any basis of Genesis. Male, female, adult, teen, child.

I could be wrong, and there might be a direct way to only create for one size, but all my testing, and creating was based on the above knowledge from learning in the forums and tutorials.

*EDIT: I found a thread similar to the issue here, and Richard was more thorough with how to correct the issue at hand. Apparently, I am wrong, and one can model to set shapes/sizes, but you have to follow a certain procedure in the Transfer Utility for it to work. Check out this thread for details:
