Keeping hands / feet fixed while moving body?

I'm just getting back to trying out Daz, and can't figure out if there's a way to pose a character while its feet or hands remain fixed in place.
For example, I'd like to fix one foot in place and slide the other into position, then freeze both and move the hips down a bit.
I'm not sure what this might be called, and didn't come up with anything on search. Can this be done?
Thanks

Maybe the "Ultimate Pose Master" product for the figure you are working with might help?
You can use Pin with Universal Tools or Active Pose Tool ~~ i.e. press Space Bar to lock the limb node before dragging / dialing to move other body parts. Or use Limb Stick product...
It's called IK and something that Daz does not do well. Even using their IK, the feet will still slide around. What you can use, like crosswind said, is limbstick. Or what I do is I import the character into Blender with the diffeomorphic tool, change the rigging to simple IK, and then I can save that pose or animation and bring it back into Daz. The IK works works perfectly in Blender.
Yea, like bennie said, if one knows Blender + Diffeo, IK really works great in Blender. And it won't take long to get the pose preset back to DS.
TBH, IK with G8 and the Genesis prior to G8, it works not really good...sometimes even awful.. working with G9 will be much better.
That looks like it could be helpful.
